Event: Thailand Grand Festival 8-9 March 2014 | Tumbalong Park Darling Harbour

Date: 8-9 March 2014
Time: 10:30-7pm
Location: Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour
The festival features activities and cultural performances, such as demonstrations and an arts and crafts expo.
Here's sure to be something for everyone in the family, from Thai cooking demonstrations and the Thai wedding corner, to exhilarating Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing) and Krabi Krabong (sword and stick fighting) martial arts exhibitions from trained warriors. There will, of course, be deliciously hot Thai food available from the stalls, as well as arts and crafts from the Bangsai Arts and Crafts Centre, which was founded by Thai Queen Sirikit to promote traditional Thai handicrafts and to develop skills among the villagers in Ayutthaya province and around the country.
There is something for everyone at the Thailand Grand Festival 2014.
Presented by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney and supported by the City of Sydney, the Thailand Grand Festival 2014 is part of the Living in Harmony Festival 2014, which celebrates the cultural diversity of Sydney and promotes harmony amidst this diversity. Both the venue and toilets are wheelchair accessible, and the event is free and open to the public.
Be mesmerized by beautiful Thai dance and the exquisite costume of Thai dancers.  Come to the Thailand Grand Festival 2014 and experience delicate, intricate and beautiful Thai-style weddings, or learn the history and get insider knowledge of Thai massage. Perhaps you can even sample how rejuvenating it is.
