Sydney Children Festival 30 March 14 | Belmore Park Opposite Central Station

The Children’s Festival events are the largest and most unique celebrations of multiculturalism for children and families in Australia.
They are days of sharing, learning and exploring the culturally diverse modern cities that we all live in and share with one another.
If children are able to experience this sharing and understanding from a young age, The Children’s Festival hopes that adults too, will be able to share and understand, so that we can all live harmoniously within our in communities.
This year, they have exciting events including 16th Bankstown Children’s Festival. For the first time ever – the inaugural Children’s Festival in the City of Sydney (in partnership with Community Relations Commission For A Multicultural NSW and NSW Federation of Community Language Schools) will be held on Sunday 30 March 2014 at Belmore Park (opposite Central Railway Station) Sydney.
The Children’s Parade at 11.30am and/or to perform on the day, and make it a spectacle of colour and diversity in that special way of our Children’s Festivals “Playing Together and Living in Harmony“.
Get ready for a day of celebration where you will experience different cultural traditions, costumes, dances, performances, songs, lion dancing, drumming workshops and share traditional and delicious foods with one another.

Oatley Park Castle | The Hidden Germ in Sydney South

Oatley Park was dedicated as a public recreation area on 25th March, 1887 and in the following year Hurstville Council was appointed trustee of the area.

Oatley Park protects important examples of the natural environment which occurred throughout the area before the spread of suburbs. Within its boundaries are numerous micro-habitats giving protection to a variety of native plants and to animals which rely on those plants for food, shelter and nesting.

The park is subject to intensive recreational uses for picnics, bike riding and bushwalking. The oval is used by the local soccer club and primary school for its sporting activities and serves as an additional play area.

The future of the park depends on community concern, awareness that this is a valuable asset and management by the Trustees with expertise and foresight.

Excerpts taken from Native Plants of Oatley Park compiled by Alan Fairley.

114 species of birds have been observed in the park. Oatley Park provides a sanctuary for many species of birds some of which nest within its boundaries. Others use the park and its tidal boundaries as part of their wider search for food and shelter. A number of migratory birds also find the bush covered peninsula a convinent stopover on their long flights.

Leichhardt Family DaycareParty Venue | Leichhardt

My sister recently had her daughter's party at Leichhardt Day Care. Yes, It is Le8chhardt Local Community Day Care and a Party Venue.  You could hire for minimun 4 hours,   $200 for a 4 hour hire.
I thought it is the best venue!  After party,    telye kids could enjoy outdoor playground but do aware that outdoor has no gate and sun shield for kids.

There are plenty of car park on the street.
