Night Owl Kids Film Festival - update

Night Owl Kids Film at Darling Quater 2013
Event: 10/01/2014 - 23/01/2014
The third annual Night Owls Kids Film Festival will take place in the Darling Quarter at Darling Harbour from Friday January 10 to Thursday January 23. This free event will screen a collection of old and new films, and with 14 sessions to choose from over the course of the two weeks, both you and your child should find at least one session that will make you both happy.
The feature films will begin at 6.45pm, but there's actually more to the festival than these movies. From 5.30pm, there will be live entertainment, and immediately before the films are screened, there will be a 15 minute showcase of some of the best short films from Melbourne's Little Big Shots, which is Australia's major children's short film festival. Films set to be screened at the 2014 Night Owls Kids Film Festival include Rio, Despicable Me 2, The Adventures of Tin Tin, 101 Dalmatians, Wreck-It Ralph, Pinocchio, Rise of the Guardians, Brave, Up, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Marry Poppins, Epic,Coraline and Hugo. They will be screened in the order listed, but you can also find the corresponding dates at the event's Facebook page.
While adults will hopefully enjoy both the classic films from their own childhood as well as the newer ones that hold memories shared with their own families, they may still want to hang around for the After Hours sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday too, when they'll get to see classic, more 'grown-up' films from 8.30pm onwards. Films scheduled to screen are Romeo and Juliet, The Breakfast Club, Dead Poets Society, Muriel's Wedding, Life of Pi and Billy Elliot.
